Arrived at Cochiti Lake

Had a lazy morning today since we were so close to Santa Fe and the hope of the parts arriving and actually getting the Jeep fixed! We arrived at the appointed NAPA automotive center to 'drop' the Jeep and continue to hope the parts would arrive!! By now I felt like I had a whole new group of friends in NAPA locations across the US!. And, as luck would have it, the parts did arrive in Albuquerque and were shipped to Santa Fe. Now we are hopeful that Padro will indeed get them put on the car sometime tomorrow and we can retrieve the Jeep at a reasonable time.

After cautiously moving through a lot of city traffic in Santa Fe to fill the RV with fuel, we proceeded on to the campground at Cochiti Lake. There were beautiful views of the lake and mountains from the campground, but we were assigned what seemed like the most un-level campsite in the place! We tried, but were not having much luck getting level, so we approached the office about a site change and found a beautiful, older section of the campground that had a spot that was much more level! We moved up the mountain, set up, put out the slides, the awning, etc. and John fixed his famous turkey skillet dinner while I walked! Perfect!!!

Now, I am writing this post and about to call it a day. Tomorrow we will retrieve the Jeep and explore Santa Fe. Resting well in Lake Cochiti, New Mexico.  Debbie and John
