Today we drove to Cedar Breaks National Monument. It is at an elevation of 10,000+ ft. so we encountered some snow! On the way up we passed an area that had big areas covered with volcanic rock and groves of trees with white bark and no leaves--it was very impressive! The views were beautiful and when we left the Breaks we drove on down to Cedar City, ran a few errands and headed back to RV and what we expected to be an interesting dinner.

We had discovered a small restaurant in Glendale (the only restaurant in Glendale!), the Buffalo Bistro. The reviews looked good on the internet and the owner of the campground concurred so we decided to go. I had one of their specials---a combo platter of buffalo and wild boar ribs---I was feeling adventuresome! John had the salmon, and both were good! The chef cooks everything on the outside grill on the front porch and waits the tables as well as bakes the fresh fruit cobblers! It was an experience.

Other items served were rattlesnake sausage, rocky mountain oysters, yak burgers, elk burgers....apparently the chef has always been partial to the rocky mountain oysters and for several years there was a Testicle Festival right here in Glendale! Sorry we missed it!!
