Back to the blog!

Finally getting started back with the blog after the 'Holidays'! We had a variety of driving 'opportunities' on our trip back to Indiana. Ice and snow seemed to be the  norm---even in the southern states that normally do not have to deal with these conditions. Fortunately we were able to visit with many of our friends and family, in spite of the weather, and enjoyed our time in Indiana. (John was not too thrilled with the weather-----he has been in Texas so long he was just not used to Indiana winters!)

I put up the Christmas tree and a few decorations as soon as we hit Indiana and then we began the fun part of actually visiting. We saw all of our children and grandchildren and I am including some family photos for those of you who do not know, or have not seen, our families for awhile. I actually did some sledding with Will---only had to take Aleve for a couple of days after!--but it was fun!

Back in Florida at Defuniak Springs

The second week of January we left Indiana to head back to DeFuniak Springs in northern Florida to pick up the RV and had to southern Florida---we stopped in Louisville to see my sister, Linda, and her husband, Joe, and managed to skirt around a huge storm that hit the south and east. It got down to the 20's at night when we were in northern Florida---not what I was expecting--but now that we are settled further south, the weather has been great.

I will insert several pictures of our trip home and some of our travels this month, then will plan to get back in the pattern of regular posts to the blog---probably not each day since we are not traveling around as much---but will include the 'highlights'.
